Bella Italia Pizzeria Ristorante Cafe.

~~Late Lunch with Sheila~~

Sometimes when you are single you tend to not want to eat alone... its not because you feel that being alone is not an advantage is just that at times you just need someone to talk and tell stories to or even share ideas while you are having lunch or dinner....

As always my victim of the day would be Sheila... I was supposed to head out for a walk with Lucy, Mez and Lat but the plans changed... so after running some errands... I called up Sheila and picked her up and off we go... hunting for a place to eat. Ive passed by this place few times and they have banners by the windows saying discounts for pizza and pasta and what so not..

Sheila and I decided to head on to the place... little that I know the restaurant that we are about to enter is actually in a hotel called Jesselton Hotel. If only i knew earlier on then it wouldnt be much trouble to actually try and locate it.

Anyhow...
There we are... the place is rather empty... as you walked in a huge piano is near the entrance but no one is playing it of cause... then we head on to find a table.

Menu of the day
-Salad
-Pizzetta
(3 toppings of our own choice)

-Carbonara

Drinks
-Water

First comes the salad.... Holy Mother of Mercy... it looks sad! its not inviting at all... I have no idea why the salad looks as that so I snap away to prove it... it consist of olives, tomato just about 2 slices of it, burnt brinjal, salads and lettuce also thousand island.

The leaves looks horrible and not inviting at all and it doesnt look fresh and the serving is so small that you dont feel like you wanted to finish it.

Then comes the pizza of our choice... now we've chosen beef , spicy chicken and diced pineapples... and this is how it looks like... the look is not as what we expected it to be but the taste is good. We do enjoy it much.... and it certainly delicious...

Now for this we would say - dont judge the taste by the look of it! you might be wrong.

The cheese just melt thru it and it's very rich in flavours.

Last but not least comes the Carbonara (spaghetti) and being an addict to carbonara I would rate it as a 7 /10.
It is very nice and suttle taste to it. Not too strong and not too cheesy and the herbs are well blended... mild to the tongue and the presentation of it is rather simple yet inviting. Now that is the most important thing... I like this so much that I tend to finish it all right to the last drop of it. :) If only the beef is sliced thinly and smaller then I think it would taste much better.

Oh.... and suddenly someone called... or was it me trying to act that some is calling hahaha who knows. I cant remember everything.
Believe it or not... I over heard a conversation by this lady and the waitress... she was born in 1928 .. Oh dear me... you can do the math and by looking at her she is not even at the age she said she is. She has sons and the eldest is about 48yrs... and she is still traveling and enjoying life of singlehood... My hat is off to you ma'am. I adore elderly people who can actually grab the moments in their life and enjoyed it to the fullest no matter where they are... I admire most if they are still into traveling at this age... amazing.. I do want to be that strong when I am at her age indeed.. still happy and alive and kicking and traveling around the world with my beloved ones.... by god will!

Then we are wondering how long would it takes to actually travel by boat from Jesselton Point where you board the boat to islands around Sabah, to Manukan Island ... the helpful Sarawakian waitress hand over a map and show us places but yet she has no clue of how long and how much would it take... now that is something for me to discover and share it with you very soon....

Many islands surrounding Sabah and most of the tourists would enjoy their time diving, snorkeling or even just go and rest at the islands... wonderful sight indeed. I would do that soon...
