Tanjung Aru With Russell

The Beginning of a Good Friendship..

On Saturday I was so bored and thought I could have asked few friends to go out and have dinner... Turns out no one is available... Hmmm then I thought to myself.. what the heck let's find another new friends and perhaps then we can hang out... Coincidentally, Fijian texted me... my heart jumps in glee... woohoo here we go a new friends and the first thing that came to our mind would be DINNER! so hey I didnt wait long to agree with him.. so then off we met around Imperial Hotel close to Center Point and we head off to Tanjung Aru for some nice hawker's foods...

Alrighty this is my new found friend ... a fijian who just about 5 days been in Kota Kinabalu Sabah... He's a pastry chef working in one of the renowned hotel here... He's a mixture of two cultures as well like me *g*. Come to think of it nowadays no one is a pure breed ... Anyhow... Russell is half fijian (an island between New Zealand and Japan) and half Sri Lankan... and been traveling thruout his life... enjoying himself being a chef indeed.


After Tanjung Aru we were contemplating where to go... whether to go straight back to our places or hang out and have a drink of two... so I decided to head off to Shennanigan.... At first the place wasnt so crowded but as the clock ticking.. it was swarm with people... gosh like the ants surrounding the sweet....

I choose a wrong place to stand... right nearby the stage and next to the SPEAKER!!!! omg.. I am definitely sure you can imagine how my head throb after that... my ears can hardly hear anything when we had enough of the music.... awwwwwwwwww I thought Im going deaf...

The band is good... the music is fantastic at first then they started playing house and trance and techno ... I dont mind rock and retro or even ballads... but when it comes to the 'hateful music' is what I called them... it calls for desperate measure to head home... so we did... and we had a good time... at least I know I did...

Thanks Russell for the company...

This is surely the beginning of a great friendship ... us all!! Cheers
