After a month of undergoing clinical posting at the oldfolks home in Kinarut Papar, it is time to be back to the college ... not for the classes but for the clinical posting still.. we are supposed to undergo it 3 months .. since the college itself sent out so many students to certain clinical posting area designated, therefore we all have to take turns....
781 students for clinical posting and with less Clinical Instructors and not enough posting places... how would one expect to be able to learn many things .... I wonder... Who is to blame? the management? or the college wholly? To be honest Im rather dissapointed with the management of Masterskills indeed... it is definitely doesn't live up to their mission and vision of the place... Here I am.. made a decision to join Masterskills after alot of stories been published about it and heard that it is one of the better college amongst others... I dont doubt there are good things about the college I can name it as well.. but the management of the institution is HORRIBLE.
First come the contract and term of studying...
I remember when we first sign in the agreement there is no stating about a student have to pay RM25.00 or any amount during clinical posting due to the hostel that is being provided... It comes as a shocked honestly when I was asked that in my first clinical posting... Without any information given during the first time registration to enroll into the college... and now many a thing needed money?!?! that is not the right way of doing things... and this surely give great impact to the image of the college let alone the reputation. I dont mind actually cause I am a working adult and I have my own money.. but what about those who came from a very poor background and cant actually afford to spent that much money on utilities of a place where u've been sent for posting?
Secondly...
Im now in my second semester.... the issue of matrix card... The entire classes of my badge 20904(B) have gotten theirs and I HAVE NOT gotten mine and there are a few others... the reason being is that they missed look at it .. and that is why they didnt print / make mine.. and I have to wait and been waiting for the past 3 months to get it... whereas the juniour has gotten their.... what kind of organizing is the management doing? Why cant a thing as simple as printing the matrix card be sent all the way to KL to be printed out? cant a big organization be in sync and just printed it here... would you guys print the different design on matrix card just because you are in different states? That I dont get it... I am just keeping it all in and I guess I cant hold it in any longer when it comes to not being organized in an institution.. especially educational institution. You want the money and yet your services is not up to the standard!
Thirdly....
During out first semester... we are given a choice to purchased a stethoscope, watch and scissors... the scissors work wonders... very profound I would say... but the stethoscope.. the most important equipment for us to have during the 3 yrs course... and most of it faulty! and You are selling it to us.. it is cheap no complaint .. but cheap and yet not functioning well ??? now it reflects back to your institution no??? Im very disappointed in that... thats a waste of our money.. a waste of my money indeed.
Fourthly...
Now comes the time when I am back posted to the college mockward. I know there are procedures that can be done there and some aren't... The student mostly are of young age.. but what shocked me the most was yesterday when one of the clinical instructor uses the word "BERUK" and eventho it is not meant for me... it did scratches my feelings a bit since im amongst the student.... WHY ON EARTH WOULD A CLINICAL INSTRUCTOR HAVING BLOODY FOUL MOUTH LIKE THAT?!?!?!?!!?.... they are darn kids and not mature yet... and u should understand that... the more you say that you going to discipline them that way.. the more they're going to do the same thing... cant u bloody see?!?!?!?
As an adult I am truly offended by it! ... As a professional I am as well extremely offended by it! I am there to study and not to be call NAMES (eventho it is not meant for me...). If only I can record what she is saying that time.. I am so definitely sure I would send it to the press.... the Malaysian tutor in private institution.. with darn foul mouth!
So far... the college is not as what it is painted to be to the outsider...
The education in class yes I would have to agree so far it is good... and effective... but there are things that can be improved...
But when it comes to the individual Clinical Instructor or lecturer... gosh most need some extreme make over ... even the management...
RM9 thousand per semester and this is what we are getting.... (makes me wonder what are the breakdown of the RM9,000.00 that we've spent EVERY semester per student)
I dont know about others but I want whats worth for my money spent!
and so far ... I havent seen much out of Masterskills.
